Mark Pilgrim does away with some weblog design cruft using new browser functionality via meta elements. Especially interesting are next and previous links as metadata. For years I?ve been advocating the use of valid, semantic, accessible, well-structured HTML. It?s a bit of a mouthful to say, but thanks to an acronym being coined on the Microformats IRC channel almost seven months ago, I can now start advocating the use of POSH instead. POSH, in case you haven?t heard of it already, is short for ?Plain Old Semantic HTML?, and is obviously much quicker and easier to say than ?valid, semantic, accessible, well-structured HTML?. Unfortunately POSH is also something most people building websites or creating content for the Web have yet to discover. Perhaps a fancy acronym will help speed up adoption. More recently, the W3C took note of these developments and started its own next-generation HTML effort with many of the same members. Eventually, the two efforts will likely be merged. Although many details remain to be argued over, the outlines of the next version of HTML are becoming clear. Saved By: jeffrey zeldman | View Details | Give Thanks

An enterprising salesman has posted an auction on eBay to allow pre-purchase of the first Camaro to arrive at his dealership. However, since a retail price has yet to be announced, the bidding isn't for the cost of the car per se, but the markup of the MSRP.
